[87] Playing Together

When the Highlight of your day is Downloading and *Gasp* Playing a new game for your Cell Phone… That’s an Awesome Day. Especially when you can share this joy across not only the Windows Phone you own, but the Android Tablet you now have a Secondary Account on! I got Kristin an Asus Transformer TF300T [link] for her Birthday, and just this month an Update came out for the Android that comes with it [link] that allows for multiple user profiles. A feature I’ve been awaiting since I bought it for… uh… her… Seriously though, there are several games that are Android (And sometimes iOS) Exclusive that I’ve been meaning to try, and until that update, there was nowhere for me to try them out. On top of that, Bluestacks [link] allows me to put games I own on my Desktop… provided I have an Android Tablet set up… which I now sort of do.

The game shown is “Chaos Rings” dlgames.square-enix.com/chaosrings/ by Square Enix. It’s a “Mobile” (A term which encompasses both the Phone and Tablet Market at current) Game that would be perfectly at home on any of the current Mobile Consoles. It’s certainly a departure from what I’m used to seeing in the “Mobile Marketplace” (A place dominated by Angry Birds www.angrybirds.com/ , and Plants vs Zombies www.popcap.com/games/plants-vs-zombies/home . Both fine games in their own right… but Certainly not “Console Experiences”). It’s definitely not your ‘typical’ “Final Fantasy Fair”, but it’s in the same realm… though “Compact”, which fits the market it’s targeted. I’d almost call it and “Arena Combat RPG”, as that falls in with the Theme being presented by the game, and does a fair job of defining it anywho. I will admit that it doesn’t run the ‘best’ on my HD7, but it runs ‘Well Enough’. And it runs like ‘Butter’ on the Tablet, but sadly, without Rooting my phone (Which I’ve seriously considered doing… and may do yet ), I cannot transfer my save betwixt the two.

[Photo Observation] So… this is one of those shots where I wish I had ‘Set it Up’ Better. For example, a solid backgrounds, even spacing around the edges, etc. It’s a bit too far to the left. Also, I kind of wish I’d either taken a shot while ‘both’ games were ‘exactly’ at the same place in the game, or figured out an ‘interesting’ combination of scenes to set up between the two. Alas…
