[8] Master of Construction

Walked in to find this guy constructing what is to my knowledge his first "Official" Lego kit. While his Dad has a "Not so Secret" Lego Addiction (Link to the Future! [link] Look at the background!), he's not thus far shown too much interest. Now that's not saying he doesn't like tinkering with them, but as I mentioned, this is his first time attempting a kit. (With a little encouragement from Dad of course. )

We ended up playing Fresco. As I play Board Games with my current Tuesday Client, I had just tried it out, and was ready to hop on in and play it with the roomies. It's a fun little game about painting. Of course, that's the "Cover" for another resource management game, but if you like the genre, you could certainly do worse.

So we went to see a movie at the Cinnebarre [link], and it wasn't as bad as it could have been? I didn't go in with any expectations, so I wasn't "Disappointed", just not blown away. The movie was "Parental Guidance" [link] and it was basically a comedy about a pair of estranged grandparents who are asked to watch their grandchildren and they make an effort to become relevant. Old vs New, and all that jazz. It certainly had a few funny moments, but I wouldn't recommend it without reserve.

[Photo Observation] Yeah, I'm not that happy with this shot. I should have spent a little more time framing it. From the background, to the angle, it just isn't that well set up. Also, with the black table, and the primarily black Legos don't contrast well enough. So yeah, should have taken a little more time and framed this shot a little better.
