[30] Working Boots

Description

Heh, so today was the first day of the "New Job". I think I wore the best shoes for the occasion. What better way to present one's self as a "Caregiver" than to wear "Construction Boots". Really though, as I ride a scooter to and fro on most occasions, these are my Riding Boots, due primarily to their Waterproof nature, which is kind of important in a city known for it's rain. (Though the casual reference to our rain is greatly exaggerated. We're more "Mostly Cloudy" and "Generally Misty" than "Rainy all the Time". ;P)

Funny note about these boots though, while I did originally buy them as "Riding Boots", I was also buying them to sub as a "Warehouse Boot", which means that they're also Steel Toed. And not that sissy "New Agey" Composite Toe that wishes it was a Steel Toe. Sure, they're ASTM Rated to the same standards, but you miss out on the wonderful Heft of a Steel Toe with a Composite Boot, and while for some "That's the Point", I'm not one of "Those". I love the healthy weight of a Steel Toe, and until they stop making them, I'll stick with that.

On the work front, my schedule is actually going to be relatively busier at first, as I adjust to the different "Flow" of things. I can definitely see where things will be less stressful, and overall "Better" once I get it ironed out though, so that's nice.

[Photo Observation] Sooo... This was yet another case of no time, and needing a quick shot. While it spawned a rather nice post, it's not particularly interesting as an image, and I didn't take the time to make it more so. ;? I could have staged them in a more interesting location, and there could have been better symmetry in the laces and accouterments on the boots. Also, the angle, while not "The Worse, could have been taken lower, and given at least a better hint at their profile... though I don't know, I don't hate how it's angled... I just would have liked to play around with the shot more.

(Post Observation) Apparently I like "Quotes" today... ;P
