[105] The Games we Play

Description

Monday, and the start of a new week. I'm just going to gloss over the lack of a picture today and move into an event from 'today'. On Gaming, there's a little game I happen to like called Terraria. I've written [link] about it [link] before [link] . Work today was far shorter than it almost 'ever' is, and that left me with an unbearable amount of 'Free Time'. So trying to figure out what to do with this new found time, Kristin and I thought it would be cool to play Terraria on the 360 together. Neither of us had played that version, so it would be new for both of us. ;P I had enough residual points on my Live Account from my last purchasing binge to pick it up, and I did so on the computer, and went over to the 360 to enjoy my new game... Or I would have if the system had let me log in. ;? Apparently the Microsoft Account 'linked' (They are too separate things, and much to the dismay of the tech support guys I talked to, there's nothing 'On their End' they can do to "Fix" an account if the problem "Truly" was with the Microsoft Account), to my Live Account now needs Security "Proofs" to let me log in, and it had been a while since I've updated those.

This resulted in a weird error where I could "Technically" log in to my Live Profile, but an Error Message overlay prevented me from actually 'Doing' anything with it. As a result, I had to delete my profile from the system, remove the cached data from the console, update my information (Which I did through the Tech Support Agent, though I feel as if I could have done it 'Online' as part of this process), and then Re-Download my Profile to the Console, at which point I could 'Actually' log in. ;? Fun Times indeedey. ;P After that we were actually able to play Terraria, and it was fun. Admittedly, it's a bit hard to see the 'Finer Details' in Two Player mode. Perhaps they should allow for custom zoom, or have increased the UI a mite. I'm not 'sold' on playing it with a controller as 'Opposed' to the Keyboard and Mouse, but it's certainly serviceable. ;P

After that, Kristin began dozing off as I tried showing off some of the older titles I'd downloaded (Some of which I'd forgotten I had. O.o!), ending up on Psychonauts [link] . If you have even an 'Inkling' of appreciation for the Platformers of yore... or even just an appreciation for humorous playful games, play Psychonauts. You won't regret it. Many hours of gaming later, I finally trundled off to bed, and in all the 'Excitement'... I didn't get around to taking a picture. ;?

[Photo Observation] Contrary to what even 'I' would like to think, there's no 'Message' in 'which' pieces ended up in focus. This is the first shot I've taken using the 'Close Up' Function on the Camera, and I have to say, I like how it turned out compared to how I 'Thought' it would turn out. The background is suitably out of focus and even on the nearby objects, there are definitely 'Objects of Interest', and objects that aren't. I'm really shockingly pleased with how this turned out. ;P
